CAS[E] this Sketch #258

N@ Ali's Sketch had me digging for birthday candles... a friend's card reminded me that our Sketches can be recreated any way you see fit!   beauty, and design, is in the eye of the beholder...

What started as a simple stamped design changed quickly with a bit too much water from my Aquabrush... another chance to accentuate the negative!

Our weather has gone from 'warm for Winter' to full-on Winter, once again ... so happy for this short month!

I'm also cheered by your visit today ... will we be visiting you in our CTS gallery?  I sure hope so!

=]  Michele

Stamp & dies:  Altenew - Adore You!  Zig Clean Color brushes: light pink, pink, yellow - all 'grayed down' with Mid gray.  Ranger water color cardstock.  Versafine gray ink, clear embossed.

Oh, I like the watery artsy look of this one! Very pretty Michele. I sure hope your wintery weather doesn't head in my direction. We got more of the white stuff yesterday morning. How many days till spring!!??

Hello, lovely friend! My return from my working visit at my mom's was apparently more 'depleting' than I realized, as I've been 200% sidelined by a nasty bout of flu/stomach flu, that started Monday morning and continues to persist Zero energy, wobbly, nauseated, pretty much bed-ridden...yep, I'm a MESS! I thought flu symptoms were supposed to be sniffles/cough (which I don't have), so this upset stomach stuff has me stressed. Big stressed. Anyway: just know that I adore alllll your cards of late; they've brightened my 'grey' days immensely! (oh...and we're having a winter storm here, too...)
Hugs~c

Wow, you clever girl you! I love how you took this sketch and came up with this card!! I love it. I would have never thought to use the flowers in place of the candles on the sketch. Nice job my friend! Hugs, Brenda

Oh Michele, my dear, you always inpspire me and this card is truly inspirational! I would have been digging for the birthday candles too, because I'm such a literal thinker. I love how you always seem to think outside the borders. Perfectly delightful my friend!

Fabulous take on the sketch, Michele! I love your pretty coloring of the flowers and the artsy shadow background! Drawing the stems for the flowers is a great idea. I even checked the stamp set just now to see if it had a stem stamp or not. ;-P Hideko

That's the reason I don't use the waterbrushes that often. Dripping happened to me many times. You saved this brilliantly with the loose wash on the background! Love the pretty rose color!!!
